Back at the cottage for the night after what feels like a long absence.
Tonight I grilled the first of the chicken. It was brilliant. Big meaty thighs and wings. So big that I cut them in half before I cooked them and they still seemed big.
The ‘drumsticks’ of the wings are bigger than the average grocery store bird. And way more flavourful. No contest.
Chicken with just-plucked carrots and boiled potatoes.
