In. 3 long days of work, the team has removed the old kitchen fixtures, stripped the walls back to the studs, added on to the wall studs, insulated to R20, removed the supporting wall and replaced it with a beam, and opened the wall up in to the living room.
Today they focused on plumbing and electric. They roughed in services for the upstairs bathroom, wired light switches and recepticals and got a start on the kitchen plumbing.
Tomorrow is the rest of the plumbing and electric then on to finishing the room.
My living space gets smaller everyday. I’ve been out to dinner 3 nights at various neighbours.
Good news on the flooring front today as well. The linoleum and subfloor seem to be lifting nicely and the original floors look great. It looks like I’ll be able to salvage them.
